GRUDG

Gateshead RFC takes an active role in the Gateshead Rugby Union Development Group (GRUDG). The Development Group is open to individuals from schools and clubs in the Gateshead borough with an interest in Rugby Union and serves to manage collectively the resources available in the area in order to promote playing the game and to assist teachers in delivering their educational objectives. Rugby Development Officers

In addition Ryton RFC makes its facilities available to our local Rugby Development Officers for the delivery of various community initiatives. The RDOs are backed by the resources of the RFU and the RFUW and can provide assistance and information to help with the development of rugby throughout the region.
